Join the team!

I am looking for folks in the National Capital Region (Ottawa/Gatineau) to join my Children’s Wish Foundation - Walk for Wishes Team, TAG, YOU'RE IT, on Sunday, October 18. It is a great event for a fabulous cause and is always lots of fun. Families, friends, corporate and community groups raise funds by collecting pledges to grant wishes for children with high-risk, life threatening illnesses.

As a member of the organizing committee, I have committed to recruiting a team of 10 people and raising $1,000 ($100 /person).

What is Wishmaker Walk for Wishes?

Wishmaker Walk for Wishes is a national fund-raising event for The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. Approximately 1.8 million dollars will be raised this year to grant heart-felt wishes to children living with life-threatening illnesses. Wishmaker Walk for Wishes takes place in over 100 communities across Canada on the weekend of October 17th and 18th.

This year, the National Capital Region will be having their walk on Sunday, October 18, 2009.

Check out the Walk for Wishes web site for more information.
